A Mumbai police officer, while off duty, is receiving recognition as a hero after saving a man’s life at a train platform.
The dramatic moment, captured on video, shows a passenger attempting to board a moving train at Goregaon railway station — only to slip and get stuck between the train and the platform.
Disaster was prevented by the fast reflexes of Police Constable Balaso Dhage, who was returning home when the incident occurred. He immediately intervened, pulling the man away from danger and saving his life.
In a social media post, the Mumbai Police noted: “While returning home, PC Balaso Dhage observed a man stuck between a moving train and the Goregaon station platform. By reacting quickly, he saved the man and prevented a tragedy.”
Garnering millions of views, the video sparked an outpouring of positive reactions. “Salute to your heroic act of saving a young man while risking your own life,” one person commented. Another added, “Excellent effort — true respect to the officer.”
